Position Overview

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to support and enhance vehicle technical inspection processes. This role involves reviewing inspection standards, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and introducing improvements that align with the latest technologies and RTA guidelines.

What You ll Do

* Prepare and implement studies to improve technical inspection processes.
* Provide technical reports, analyses, and recommendations to enhance operational efficiency.
* Coordinate with the Vehicle Licensing Department on inspection standards and compliance requirements.
* Review and update technical inspection policies, procedures, and equipment specifications.
* Conduct gap analyses, identify risks, and propose corrective actions for service providers.
* Prepare awareness plans and training sessions for inspectors to ensure compliance with regulations.
* Evaluate technical performance of inspectors and propose improvement initiatives.
* Analyze inspection data and provide actionable recommendations for operational enhancement.
* Manage technical projects aimed at developing and modernizing inspection processes.

Ideal Profile

* Bachelor s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical inspection or related engineering roles.
* Strong knowledge of vehicle inspection principles and technical reporting.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Proficiency in preparing technical and executive reports.
