Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Develop accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and utility plants.
  • Utilize estimation software and current market data to assess labor, material, and equipment costs for mechanical installations.
  • Coordinate with design, engineering, and project management teams to validate design assumptions and ensure alignment with mechanical cost estimates.
  • Support bid preparation by providing detailed mechanical cost breakdowns and participating in value engineering proposals.
  • Analyze supplier and subcontractor quotations for mechanical packages to ensure competitiveness and technical compliance.
  • Monitor cost trends, market fluctuations, and design changes, providing timely updates to project stakeholders.
  • Maintain documentation of all mechanical estimation activities and support post-tender clarifications as needed.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical cost estimation, particularly for luxury hotels, resorts, or high-end commercial developments.
  • Proficient in industry-standard estimation software and experienced in interpreting mechanical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC, mechanical, and utility systems, including installation practices and performance standards.
  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and meet tight deadlines.
