Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Review tender drawings, specifications, BOQ, scope documents, and addenda Perform detailed quantity take-offs for HVAC, plumbing, firefighting & mechanical systems Prepare accurate cost estimates including materials, labor, equipment, preliminaries & overheads Develop rate build-ups based on UAE market rates and productivity norms Float RFQs to suppliers and subcontractors; analyze and validate quotations Prepare quotation comparison sheets and recommend best-value compliant offers Identify scope gaps, risks, assumptions, exclusions, and clarifications Attend site visits and pre-bid meetings as required Coordinate with design, procurement, and operations teams Support value engineering and cost optimization proposals Assist with post-award handover (budget breakdowns, BOEs, tender assumptions) Maintain rate databases, supplier lists, and historical cost data Requirements
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering 4–7 years of Mechanical Estimation / Tendering experience MEP contracting experience in UAE / GCC preferred Strong knowledge of UAE mechanical market rates, suppliers, and subcontractors Ability to read mechanical drawings, HVAC layouts, P&IDs, schematics, and specifications Strong skills in quantity take-off, rate analysis, and tender documentation Proficient in MS Excel (costing, summaries, comparisons) Experience with AutoCAD / Bluebeam / PlanSwift / CostX is an advantage Good communication, coordination, and deadline management skills Job Type: Full-time
