Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Main Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate piping installation, fabrication, testing, and mechanical construction activities on site.
- Ensure all piping works are executed in accordance with project specifications, drawings, procedures, and quality standards.
- Monitor daily site activities and provide technical support to construction teams and subcontractors.
- Review piping isometrics, P&IDs, layouts, and technical documentation before execution.
- Coordinate piping fit-up, welding, hydrotesting, flushing, reinstatement, and punch list activities.
- Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) requirements and company procedures.
- Participate in inspections, walkdowns, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.
- Identify technical issues and propose corrective actions to maintain project schedule and quality objectives.
- Prepare progress reports, work schedules, and field documentation.
- Coordinate with engineering, QA/QC, mechanical, and commissioning teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Verify material availability and ensure proper use of tools and equipment on site.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Field Engineer or Piping Engineer in industrial, oil & gas, petrochemical, power, or construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of piping systems, fabrication, installation, and testing activities.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, isometrics, GA drawings, and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with international piping codes and standards.
- Experience working with multicultural teams and subcontractors.
- Good understanding of QA/QC processes and HSE standards.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Mechanical engineering degree or relevant technical qualification preferred.
Working Conditions
- Rotation schedule: 6 weeks on / 2 weeks off.
- 10-hour working days.
