Mechanical Handover Engineer

Oversee and coordinate the mechanical handover process for large-scale real estate and commercial projects, ensuring all systems meet project specifications and regulatory standards.

• Conduct thorough inspections and testing of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection, to verify operational readiness prior to handover.
• Prepare and review comprehensive handover documentation, including as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, and compliance certificates.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, and facility management teams to address and resolve any outstanding mechanical issues before final acceptance.
• Lead commissioning activities, ensuring all mechanical installations are fully functional and meet client requirements.
• Facilitate site walkthroughs with clients and stakeholders, providing technical explanations and addressing queries related to mechanical systems.
• Ensure all punch list items are identified, tracked, and closed out in a timely manner prior to project handover.
• Implement and enforce quality assurance protocols throughout the handover process to maintain the highest standards of safety and performance.
• Coordinate with external consultants and regulatory authorities to secure necessary approvals and certifications.
• Provide technical support and training to facility management teams to ensure smooth transition and ongoing operation of mechanical systems.

• Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5 to 7 years of proven experience in Mechanical Handover, Commissioning, or Project Engineering roles within Real Estate, Construction, or Facility Management sectors.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple handover projects simultaneously and deliver results within tight deadlines.
• Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and handover documentation.
• Familiarity with local and international Mechanical Codes, Standards, and Regulations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with Quality Assurance and Control processes related to Mechanical Installations.
• Ability to work on-site and adapt to dynamic project environments.
