Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Oversee and coordinate the mechanical handover process for large-scale real estate and commercial projects, ensuring all systems meet project specifications and regulatory standards.
- Conduct thorough inspections and testing of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection, to verify operational readiness prior to handover.
- Prepare and review comprehensive handover documentation, including as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, and compliance certificates.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, and facility management teams to address and resolve any outstanding mechanical issues before final acceptance.
- Lead commissioning activities, ensuring all mechanical installations are fully functional and meet client requirements.
- Facilitate site walkthroughs with clients and stakeholders, providing technical explanations and addressing queries related to mechanical systems.
- Ensure all punch list items are identified, tracked, and closed out in a timely manner prior to project handover.
- Implement and enforce quality assurance protocols throughout the handover process to maintain the highest standards of safety and performance.
- Coordinate with external consultants and regulatory authorities to secure necessary approvals and certifications.
- Provide technical support and training to facility management teams to ensure smooth transition and ongoing operation of mechanical systems.
- Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 5 to 7 years of proven experience in Mechanical Handover, Commissioning, or Project Engineering roles within Real Estate, Construction, or Facility Management sectors.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple handover projects simultaneously and deliver results within tight deadlines.
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and handover documentation.
- Familiarity with local and international Mechanical Codes, Standards, and Regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with Quality Assurance and Control processes related to Mechanical Installations.
- Ability to work on-site and adapt to dynamic project environments.
