Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
JOB PURPOSE:
Operation & Maintenanace of Mechanical/HVAC infrastructures within DC (Chiller system, TES system,
Pump system, Plumbing system,FWUs,IRUs, DX units, VRF/VRVs, Fire Pump/Sprinkler system, diesel
Generators etc ) and all associated system. Also to ensure integrity & high availability to ensure
maximum performance and efficiency.Prepare SOP's for all mechanical services. Manage specialist
sub contractors - Mechanical.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Organise and prepare preventive maintenance shutdown works for mechanical equipment and
systems including potable water, fire sprinkler, diesel generator, chiller systems, AHU systems,
FCU's, split AC.
Organise and prepare mechanical system repair/modification shutdown works.
Carries out routine checks and logs/provides reports of the status of mechanical infrastructure.
Prepare requisitions for materials required for maintenance and repair.
Fault finding on electro mechanical systems within the facility.
Carry out routine testing to determine condition of mechanical systems and recommend/implement
corrective actions.
Manage hard service subcontractors - ensure services on time and high quality.
Manage store operation - oversee stores supervisor and cleaning supervisor.
Maintain 100% uptime for 'operational' mechanical services.
Overhaul and repair pump sets including bearing and mechanical seal change.
Input details of maint and repair into the CAFM systems.
Organise attendance of sub contract labour and Control subcontractors when on site
Operate within a safe system of work for mechanical systems, issue PTW, LOTO etc.
Work hours 54hr week days with on call for overnight emergency.
Ensure all works are carried in line with Company Procedures and Policies, Health and Safety,
Control of Hazardous materials, in line with COSHH regulations and PPE.
Desired Candidate Profile
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Ability to work independently in a timely manner, making sure job is done correctly the first time.
Monitor and measure performance of mechanical systems, provide reports, energy saving input,
RCM assessment for mechanical systems.
Use of flow meters, annemometers, hygrometers to determine performance of HVAC systems/room
conditions, psychometry, duct air systems balance, water systems balance.
Manually lift 25kG weight.
Ability to read, write and speak in English.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Good analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and
manuals.
UAE Valid driving license
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical
3+ years of experince in Data Center Facilities or equivalent critical facilities maintenance.
7+ years of total Experience in Operation & Maintenance
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
ATD or similar Datacenter certification will be an added advantage.
