Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Job Purpose:

To ensure the optimal operation of all mechanical equipment and machinery in the plant, improve their efficiency, minimize downtime, and maintain production quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise preventive and routine maintenance for all mechanical equipment and machinery.
  • Diagnose mechanical faults and analyze root causes of issues.
  • Perform emergency and preventive mechanical repairs to ensure uninterrupted production.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans and equipment upgrades.
  • Monitor equipment performance and analyze key performance indicators to ensure reliability and efficiency.
  • Manage inventory of spare parts and mechanical supplies, ensuring availability when needed.
  • Coordinate with production and engineering teams to align maintenance activities with production schedules.
  • Prepare regular maintenance and breakdown reports, including recommendations for performance improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and industrial standards in maintenance work.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Practical experience in industrial mechanical maintenance (preferably in calcium carbonate or similar industries).
  • Strong knowledge of rotating machinery, pumps, motors, and conveyor/belt systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for mechanical issues.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.

Personal Skills:

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Attention to detail and high accuracy in work.
  • Ability to make quick decisions in emergency situations.
  • Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is a plus.
  • Residency in or willingness to relocate to Beni Suef.
