Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance on KBA and Heidelberg printing presses, following established schedules and procedures.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Repair and replace defective parts, ensuring proper alignment and functionality.
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and production staff to ensure efficient operations.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to optimize maintenance processes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in printing press technology and maintenance practices
Desired Candidate Profile
Degree in mechanical / power engineering from accredited university - other relevant courses are a plus
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, preferably in the printing industry.
- Strong familiarity with KBA and Heidelberg printing machines and their mechanical parts and technologies is essential.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, gears, bearings, and drive systems.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
