Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Position purpose and your key responsibilities The purpose of this position is to lead the mechanical maintenance function for all bulk solid handling systems including truck unloaders, conveyors, stackers, mobile hoppers, and ship loaders handling petcock and sulfur at the terminal. The Mechanical Maintenance Manager will ensure asset reliability, safe work practices, and cost-effective maintenance execution while building a proactive and skilled mechanical maintenance team.

Maintenance Leadership and Strategy Lead all mechanical maintenance activities to ensure maximum reliability and availability of bulk handling assets. Develop and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies for mechanical systems and components. Prepare and manage the annual mechanical maintenance budget, manpower planning, and spare parts forecasting. Implement maintenance standards, procedures, and best practices across all mechanical areas. Define and monitor key maintenance KPIs (MTBF, MTTR, equipment downtime, etc.) and drive performance improvements.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education / Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Postgraduate qualification or certification in Maintenance Management preferred.
Additional training in Reliability Engineering or Condition Monitoring is advantageous.

Knowledge:
Comprehensive understanding of mechanical systems used in bulk solid handling (conveyors, pulleys, gearboxes, bearings, stackers, ship loaders,
Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, mechanical drives, and rotating equipment.
Familiarity with reliability and asset management principles.
Strong knowledge of SAP PM module or other CMMS tools.
In-depth knowledge of HSE and statutory compliance standards related to mechanical maintenance.

Experience:

Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within port, terminal, or heavy industrial operations.
At least 5 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
Proven experience managing large mechanical assets and maintenance teams.
Demonstrated success in planning and executing preventive and shutdown maintenance.
Experience working with OEMs, contractors, and inspection agencies.
