Roles & Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician (Rotating) at Eram Talent, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and optimal performance of rotating machinery, contributing to uninterrupted production and safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on rotating equipment including pumps, compressors, turbines, blowers, and gearboxes.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical failures in rotating machinery and carry out detailed root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Execute precision alignment, dynamic balancing, and overhaul of rotating equipment in line with OEM standards.
  • Conduct condition monitoring activities such as vibration analysis, temperature monitoring, and performance checks.
  • Inspect and maintain seals, bearings, couplings, and lubrication systems.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and technical manuals for maintenance execution.
  • Support plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and major maintenance activities.
  • Work closely with operations and reliability teams to improve equipment uptime and performance.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are recorded accurately in CMMS (e.g., SAP PM).
  • Follow all HSE policies, procedures, and permit-to-work systems strictly.
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and reduce failures.
  • Mentor junior technicians and share technical expertise within the team.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Diploma or Technical Certification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in maintenance of rotating equipment in petrochemical, refinery, or oil & gas industries.
  • Strong hands-on experience with pumps, compressors, turbines, and other rotating machinery.
  • Expertise in alignment, balancing, vibration analysis, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Good understanding of bearings, seals, lubrication systems, and mechanical components.
  • Experience using CMMS systems such as SAP PM or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and P&IDs.
  • Solid knowledge of safety standards and maintenance best practices in industrial environments.
  • Experience in shutdowns/turnarounds is highly preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently under pressure.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
