Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Site Supervision & Execution

  • Oversee daily mechanical work activities on site (HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, gas networks, pump rooms).
  • Ensure all installations follow approved drawings, project specifications, and industry standards.
  • Coordinate work between contractors, subcontractors, and other engineering disciplines (civil, electrical, architecture).
  • Inspect installations and ensure proper execution before closing up works (MEP inspections).

2. Technical & Engineering Duties

  • Review mechanical shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals.
  • Verify quantities and ensure correct materials are delivered and used on site.
  • Conduct heat load calculations (for HVAC) and ensure correct selection of equipment.
  • Support testing & commissioning of all mechanical systems.

3. Coordination & Communication

  • Attend coordination meetings with stakeholders (consultants, contractors, clients).
  • Follow up on MEP progress versus schedule.
  • Coordinate with procurement for materials, suppliers, and equipment delivery.

4. Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare daily/weekly site progress reports.
  • Document inspections, tests, and commissioning reports.
  • Assist in preparing as-built drawings and O&M manuals.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3 7 years of experience in site works, preferably in real estate or construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, pumps, and mechanical services.
  • Familiarity with mechanical codes and standards.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
