Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Supervise daily fabrication activities in workshop/site

Ensure fabrication as per approved engineering drawings and specifications

Monitor fit-up, welding, assembly, erection, and finishing

Interpret P&ID, GA drawings, isometric drawings, and welding symbols

Ensure compliance with ASME, API, AWS standards

Coordinate with QA/QC for inspections (fit-up, welding, NDT readiness)

Ensure WPS/PQR procedures and welder qualifications are followed

Plan and track daily/weekly production activities

Identify delays and coordinate with planning/project teams

Manage manpower including welders, fitters, and helpers

Ensure proper utilization of tools, equipment, and materials

Enforce HSE policies and conduct toolbox talks

Coordinate with engineering, QA/QC, stores, and project teams

Report progress and issues to management

Desired Candidate Profile

Diploma / ITI / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Minimum 5 years of experience in fabrication industry

Hands-on experience with:

  • Pressure Vessels

  • Heat Exchangers

  • Piping Systems

  • Structural Fabrication

Strong knowledge of:

  • ASME Section VIII & IX

  • API Standards

  • AWS Codes

Experience in welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, FCAW)

Ability to read and interpret complex fabrication drawings

Strong leadership and communication skills
