Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Conduct maintenance operations including reviewing defect cards and work orders, organizing resources for planned preventive maintenance, unplanned jobs, and conducting inspections, major overhauls, and timely repairs in assigned areas. Support continuous improvement and safety within team through daily reporting, risk assessments, toolbox talks, technical training for staff, and collaboration in developing and stocking essential spare parts. compliance with company maintenance standards, OEM recommendations, and safety procedures during all maintenance activities. Mechanical Engineering ? Review and assess defect cards, work orders, and resource requirements, such as manpower, materials, spares, equipment for assigned areas. ? Receive work permits and organize resources to execute planned and preventive maintenance tasks. ? Assist in preparing the scope of work and risk assessments for maintenance activities. ? Identify frequently used spare parts and suggest stock inventory levels. ? Execute planned inspections, major overhauls, breakdown maintenance, and major repair works. ? Mobilize manpower, equipment, and tools on-site to carry out permitted works. ? Conduct daily toolbox talks and maintain 4C safety cards. ? Report daily on work progress, issues, and resource needs. ? Assist in diagnosing faults and breakdowns in plant machinery and equipment. ? Assist in the inspection of spare parts in the main store and aid fabricators and machinists in developing necessary machine parts. Budgeting and Financial Performance ? Monitor the financial performance of a given area of activity versus budgets and ensure all activities are carried out in line with the approved guidelines while promptly reporting on any variances to management. Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures ? Provide inputs and implement policies, systems and procedure for the assigned team so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled, while delivering a quality, cost-effective service. Reporting ? Prepare sectional statements and reports timely and accurately to meet QEWC and department requirements, policies and quality standards.
Desired Candidate Profile
- A 3 Years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable university is required.
- Good understanding of power/energy and Power sectors, emerging trends and technologies.
- Proficiency in English (must) and Arabic (plus).
- Demonstrated hands-on operational and implementation experience.
- Ability to work with key stakeholders, senior executives, management team and external partners/advisors through collaboration & teamwork.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
