Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and coordinate mechanical shop drawings, as-built drawings, and technical documentation in compliance with project specifications and standards.
Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and other technical office staff to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems within overall project plans.
Conduct technical evaluations of mechanical materials, equipment, and suppliers to ensure compliance with project requirements and quality standards.
Assist in the preparation of mechanical project schedules, progress reports, and cost estimates to support project planning and execution.
Provide technical support and solutions to site teams during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems.
Review and interpret project contracts, specifications, and design documents to ensure accurate implementation of mechanical works.
Coordinate with procurement teams to prepare material submittals, technical queries, and requests for information (RFIs).
Participate in value engineering and design optimization activities to enhance project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations in all technical office activities.
Maintain organized records of all technical office documentation, correspondence, and approvals related to mechanical works.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years and up to 6 years of relevant experience in a technical office role within the construction industry.
Proven experience in preparing and reviewing mechanical shop drawings and technical documentation.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and fire-fighting systems in construction projects.
Familiarity with local and international codes and standards relevant to mechanical engineering.
Excellent proficiency in AutoCAD and other engineering design software.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, office-based environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
