Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment used in chemical blending and oil field operations.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical failures in pumps, compressors, valves, and related machinery.
Assist in the installation, alignment, and commissioning of new mechanical systems and equipment.
Conduct inspections to ensure equipment compliance with safety and operational standards.
Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts replacements in maintenance logs and reports.
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime.
Monitor inventory levels of spare parts and request replenishments as needed.
Adhere to company safety protocols and participate in regular safety training sessions.
Support emergency response efforts for mechanical breakdowns or plant incidents.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing reliability and efficiency of mechanical systems.
2-3 years of hands-on experience as a mechanical technician, preferably in oil field services or chemical plants.
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing pumps, compressors, valves, and rotating equipment.
Familiarity with preventive and corrective maintenance procedures.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
Strong understanding of workplace safety standards and best practices.
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Willingness to work on-site in an oil field or chemical plant setting.
Flexibility to respond to emergency maintenance calls outside regular hours if required.
Basic computer skills for maintenance documentation and reporting.
Physical fitness to handle manual tasks and operate in industrial environments.
Desired Candidate Profile
2-3 years of hands-on experience as a mechanical technician, preferably in oil field services or chemical plants.
