Mechanical Tender Engineer

Analyze project specifications, drawings, and technical documents to prepare accurate mechanical tender submissions.

• Conduct detailed cost estimation for mechanical systems, including materials, labor, and equipment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to gather necessary information for bid preparation.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations and technical data.
• Prepare and review technical and commercial proposals in accordance with client requirements.
• Ensure all tender documentation complies with industry standards and company policies.
• Identify and assess project risks, proposing mitigation strategies within the tender process.
• Participate in pre-tender meetings, site visits, and clarification sessions with clients.
• Support negotiations and post-tender clarifications as required.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, pricing, and new technologies relevant to mechanical systems.

Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

• 3 to 4 years of proven experience in mechanical tendering or estimation within the construction or contracting industry.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills for accurate cost estimation.
• Familiarity with tendering procedures, contract terms, and bidding strategies.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and relevant estimation software.
