Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the medical underwriting department independently
- Oversee underwriting of group and individual medical insurance policies
- Ensure accurate risk assessment, pricing, and policy terms
- Maintain and create strong, long-term relationships with insurers
- Coordinate closely with insurers, brokers, and internal teams for smooth operations
- Improve underwriting efficiency, turnaround time, and portfolio quality
- Ensure compliance with UAE insurance regulations and company guidelines
- Provide guidance, training, and support to the underwriting team
Desired Candidate Profile
- 5–8 years of medical underwriting experience in the UAE
- Strong knowledge of the UAE medical insurance market and regulations
- Proven leadership and department management skills
- Ability to handle large corporate accounts and complex cases
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Masters or Bachelor's qualification is mandatory
- Preference will be given to CII-qualified candidates
