Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems design and installation to ensure compliance with project specifications and relevant codes.
- Facilitate communication among architects, contractors, and engineers to resolve technical issues promptly and effectively.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and adherence to design specifications, ensuring the timely identification of discrepancies.
- Manage MEP project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and change orders, to maintain accurate project records.
- Review and approve shop drawings and submittals from contractors, ensuring alignment with project requirements and industry standards.
- Assist in the development and management of project schedules, tracking MEP-related milestones and deliverables.
- Provide technical support during construction phases, offering solutions to complex MEP challenges faced by the site team.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports to project stakeholders, highlighting any issues and proposed resolutions.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all MEP activities on-site.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment necessary for MEP installations.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, with a strong foundation in MEP systems.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in MEP coordination on large-scale construction projects.
- Experience working in the commercial or residential construction industry, with a focus on MEP systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other MEP design software to create and review technical drawings.
- Strong understanding of local building codes, standards, and regulations related to MEP systems.
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
- Proven problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing project challenges.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse project teams.
