Roles & Responsibilities
You will play a key role in managing the MEP cost and commercial aspects of high-profile projects, working closely with senior stakeholders while gaining exposure to some of the region s most prominent retail developments.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of MEP commercial and contractual services across large-scale retail and mall developments.
- Prepare detailed MEP cost plans, estimates, and benchmarks across all project stages.
- Assist in managing project budgets, cost forecasting, and cash flow reporting specific to MEP packages.
- Review MEP design documentation and identify cost risks, value engineering opportunities, and efficiencies.
- Evaluate variations, claims, and contractor submissions related to MEP works.
- Work closely with design teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure commercial alignment and cost control.
- Contribute to procurement strategies and tender evaluations for MEP packages.
- Support the preparation of commercial reports and client presentations.
- Build strong working relationships with clients and project stakeholders, particularly within leading retail developers.
- Ensure all MEP commercial activities are delivered in line with industry best practices and project requirements.
Desired Candidate Profile
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented MEP Cost Manager to join our growing retail division in Dubai. This role will support the commercial delivery of large-scale retail and mixed-use developments, with a particular focus on major mall developments and redevelopments across the GCC.
Key Skills & Requirements:
- 4 7 years post-graduate experience in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management, with a focus on MEP.
- Proven experience working on retail, mall, or large-scale mixed-use developments within the GCC.
- Exposure to projects delivered for major developers such as EMAAR, Nakheel, or similar is highly desirable.
- Strong technical understanding of MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection) within complex retail environments.
- Familiarity with the commercial lifecycle of MEP packages, from design through to final account.
- Good knowledge of the UAE supply chain, particularly MEP contractors and suppliers.
- Proficiency in CostX or similar measurement software.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proactive, team-oriented mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced project environment.
Qualifications & Training:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Working towards MRICS (preferred but not essential).
