Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Job Summary
The Project Manager (Design) will oversee the design phase of MEP projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables are completed on time and within budget. This role requires strong coordination with design teams, clients, and stakeholders, while ensuring compliance with KSA regulations and maintaining operational excellence.
2. Responsibilities
a. Leadership & Management
· Report directly to the Project Director.
· Supervise and guide Design Engineers, ensuring tasks are allocated efficiently to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
· Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.
· Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to integrate UAE / KSA regulations with project requirements.
· Evaluate design team performance and provide regular feedback to the Project Director.
b. Client & Stakeholder Engagement
· Serve as a key point of contact for clients and consultants during the design phase.
· Foster positive relationships with clients to support project success and future opportunities.
c. Project Oversight
· Ensure compliance with all relevant UAE/KSA laws, municipality regulations (e.g., DM, DEWA, Riyadh Municipality, Jeddah Municipality, Saudi Electricity Company, Civil Defence), and sustainability standards (Estidama, Al Sa'fat, Mostadam, Saudi Building Code, LEED where applicable).
· Coordinate with government authorities and consultants to secure design approvals.
· Manage design documentation, schedules, and deliverables to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
· Participate in value engineering and risk management to optimize design outcomes.
· Attend technical meetings with project teams, clients, and consultants to address design challenges and align with project goals.
· Implement and maintain design standards, technical specifications, and drawing practices in line with UAE / KSA regulations.
· Conduct regular reviews of design processes to ensure quality and progress.
· Be prepared to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet project deadlines.
d. Project Reporting
· Prepare and submit daily progress reports to the Project Director.
· Monitor project milestones and escalate issues to the Project Director as needed.
e. Compliance & Communication
· Maintain clear and proactive communication with internal teams and external stakeholders.
· Ensure all design outputs comply with UAE / KSA regulations and project specifications.
f. Additional Duties
· Perform other professional tasks as assigned by the Project Director to support project delivery and company objectives in the UAE / KSA market.

Desired Candidate Profile
=> Prerequisite: Candidates must possess a valid Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) membership, Dubai Society of Engineers (SOE) membership, or equivalent professional accreditation recognized by the relevant Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) in Saudi Arabia and Dubai, such as Civil Defense, MOMRAH, SEC, NWC/MEWA, and Dubai Municipality, as required for MEPF design services.
· Proven experience as a Project Manager or similar role in MEP design or construction.
· Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in MEP design projects, preferably in the UAE / KSA / Gulf region..
· Strong knowledge of UAE / KSA construction laws, building codes, and standards (Dubai Municipality, DEWA, Saudi Building Code, Saudi Electricity Company, Civil Defence, etc.).
· Experience coordinating with multicultural teams and clients.
· Strong organizational and team management skills.
· Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
· Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and project management tools.
· Valid Engineering card holder.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in English (spoken and written); Arabic language skills are a plus.
· Flexibility to work extended hours as required.
· Experience working with governmental authorities in the UAE / KSA.
