Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities


The MEP Draftsman is responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings and plans related to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for construction and infrastructure projects. The role involves collaborating with engineers and architects to develop accurate, compliant, and efficient design drawings for building services.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed MEP drawings and layouts using CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) based on project specifications and sketches.
Review and interpret architectural and structural drawings to ensure coordination with MEP systems.
Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to develop and modify design plans.
Ensure compliance with local codes, standards, and safety regulations.
Update and revise drawings based on feedback and site conditions.
Assist in the preparation of BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and material specifications.
Maintain organized drawing files and documentation for project records.
Participate in project meetings to understand client requirements and project scope.

Qualifications & Skills:

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience as an MEP Draftsman or similar role.
Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
Knowledge of MEP systems, standards, and building codes.
Strong technical drawing skills and attention to detail.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
