Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee the civil engineering aspects of MEP projects, ensuring seamless integration with building structures and infrastructure in Dubai's dynamic environment.
  • Review and approve civil engineering designs, calculations, and drawings related to MEP systems, guaranteeing compliance with local regulations and project specifications.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (MEP, structural, etc.) to ensure accurate and efficient design and construction of projects across Dubai.
  • Manage and supervise civil works subcontractors, monitoring their performance and adherence to project schedules and quality standards.
  • Conduct site inspections and quality control checks of civil works related to MEP installations, identifying and resolving any issues promptly within Dubai.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, progress reports, and other documentation related to the civil aspects of MEP projects.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to construction teams on civil engineering matters, offering solutions to site-specific challenges in Dubai.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards applicable to MEP projects in Dubai.
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to develop and manage project budgets and schedules for civil engineering components.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is essential.
  • Possession of a Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in civil engineering, specifically within the MEP industry, is expected.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and standards applicable to MEP projects in Dubai.
  • Proven experience in designing and overseeing civil works related to MEP installations, including foundations, trenches, and site infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other design and analysis tools.
