• Tender Review and Estimation: Review tender documents, specifications, and drawings to prepare accurate mechanical cost estimates for MEP systems, ensuring alignment with project requirements.

• Quantity Take-Offs: Conduct detailed quantity take-offs for mechanical materials, equipment, and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, LPG, Building Management Systems (BMS), and firefighting.

• Cost Estimation: Develop comprehensive cost estimates for MEP systems (mechanical: HVAC, firefighting; electrical: power, lighting, fire alarms; plumbing: water supply, drainage) based on project drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).

• BOQ and Cost Breakdowns: Prepare BOQs and detailed cost breakdowns for tenders, variations, and client submissions, ensuring accuracy and transparency.

• Risk and Opportunity Analysis: Analyze project requirements to identify potential risks, scope gaps, and value engineering opportunities to optimize costs while maintaining quality.

• Supplier and Subcontractor Coordination: Source quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, negotiate competitive prices, and evaluate bids to ensure cost efficiency and compliance with project standards.

• Estimation Software Utilization: Use industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD MEP, Revit MEP, or similar) to create accurate cost breakdowns for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.

• Compliance and Standards: Ensure all estimates adhere to local regulations (e.g., DEWA, DM, DCD standards) and international building codes, with a focus on energy efficiency and sustainability.

• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to align estimates with project timelines, budgets, and design specifications.

• Market Research: Stay informed on industry trends, material costs, and advancements in MEP systems to enhance estimation accuracy.

• Risk Assessment: Incorporate contingencies into cost estimates to mitigate potential challenges in MEP system implementation.
