Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
1 Project Supervision
- Supervise and coordinate the work of MEP technicians, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to high-quality standards.
Monitor daily activities and allocate resources effectively to meet project schedules.
2 Installation and Maintenance
- Oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems according to project specifications and industry standards.
Ensure proper functioning of HVAC systems, electrical wiring, and plumbing installations.
3 Team Management
- Lead and mentor MEP technicians, providing on-the-job training when needed.
Maintain discipline and ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
4 Problem Solving
- Quickly address and troubleshoot any issues related to MEP systems during construction or maintenance.
Collaborate with the team to implement effective solutions.
5 Resource Management
- Ensure efficient use of materials and tools to minimize wastage.
Monitor inventory and request supplies as needed.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education and Certification
- Diploma or certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing (MEP) engineering or related fields.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in MEP works, including installation, maintenance, and supervision.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, and plumbing installations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Proficient in using tools and equipment relevant to MEP systems.
Leadership and Management
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide technicians.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. - Quick thinking and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on-site.
Strong analytical skills to assess project needs and propose efficient solutions.
Communication
- Clear and professional communication skills to interact with team members, contractors, and clients.
Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is preferred; knowledge of local languages is a plus. - Personal AttributesStrong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality work.
Physically fit and able to work in challenging environments.
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work under minimal supervision.
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various project sites.
