Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Design, review, and implement mechanical systems for MEP projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
Coordinate with architects, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly into overall project designs.
Prepare and review technical drawings, schematics, and documentation for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
Conduct site inspections and supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and energy efficiency analysis for mechanical systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the construction and post-construction phases.
Collaborate with procurement teams to specify and select appropriate materials and equipment.
Ensure timely completion of mechanical works within project timelines and budget constraints.
Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, inspection records, and as-built drawings.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements relevant to MEP mechanical engineering.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
4 to 6 years of proven experience in MEP mechanical engineering, preferably within the contracting or construction industry.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems design and installation.
Experience with relevant codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, local building codes, etc.).
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other MEP design software.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload in a fast-paced, office-based environment.
Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Familiarity with project management principles and documentation.
