Job Description

An MEP Project Manager is a pivotal role in the construction and engineering industry, responsible for overseeing the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing aspects of a project from inception to completion. This position requires a professional who can manage various elements of MEP installations and ensure they meet specified standards and client expectations. The MEP Project Manager coordinates between different teams, manages budgets, and schedules, and ensures that the project is executed efficiently while adhering to safety regulations and quality controls. This role requires excellent leadership skills, problem-solving abilities, and an in-depth understanding of construction and engineering principles. The successful candidate will be able to balance technical acumen with strong project management skills to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget constraints.


Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage the entire lifecycle of MEP projects from start to completion.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and clients to determine project specifications.
  • Prepare detailed project plans, including timeframes, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, adjusting plans as needed to meet deadlines.
  • Ensure all MEP installations meet industry standards and comply with regulations.
  • Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.
  • Conduct site visits to assess progress and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Resolve any technical issues or disputes that arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Manage teams of engineers, contractors, and site workers efficiently and effectively.
  • Review design drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Analyze project outcomes and make recommendations for future improvements and efficiencies.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an MEP Project Manager with a strong project portfolio.
  • Exceptional leadership and organizational skills and team management experience.
  • Strong understanding of industry regulations and building codes relevant to MEP projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools to track and report progress.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
