Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Prepare and manage MEP cost estimates, budgets, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs)
Evaluate and price Variation Orders accurately and in a timely manner
Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to ensure accurate cost planning
Monitor project costs and provide regular financial reports to senior management
Manage subcontractor valuations, payments, and final accounts
Ensure compliance with UAE authority regulations and project requirements
Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and project standards
Technical Requirements (Containment Knowledge):
Strong understanding and experience in pricing and measurement of:
Cable tray and ladder systems, including supports, brackets, and fittings
Trunking and conduit systems (PVC & GI), including routing and accessories
Containment supports and fixings such as hangers, brackets, channels, and installation materials
Desired Candidate Profile
5–10 years’ experience as an MEP Quantity Surveyor
Must have UAE contractor experience (main contractor preferred)
Strong experience working on high-rise commercial, residential, mixed-use, or hospitality projects
Good knowledge of MEP systems, materials, and installation methods
Familiarity with UAE authority regulations (e.g., DEWA, DCD, Municipality)
Strong commercial and contractual awareness
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Preferred:
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
Experience working with Tier 1 contractors in the UAE
