Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee all MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) aspects of the construction site, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
  • Manage and coordinate MEP subcontractors, providing clear direction and resolving any conflicts or technical issues promptly.
  • Conduct regular inspections of MEP installations, verifying quality, safety compliance, and progress against the project schedule.
  • Review and approve MEP shop drawings, submittals, and material selections, ensuring alignment with design requirements.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate potential MEP-related risks, delays, and cost overruns, implementing effective solutions.
  • Maintain detailed records of MEP activities, including daily reports, progress updates, and change orders.
  • Collaborate with the project manager, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems.
  • Ensure all MEP work complies with relevant codes, regulations, and industry best practices for safety.
  • Manage the commissioning and testing of MEP systems, ensuring proper functionality and performance.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the site team, promoting a culture of quality and continuous improvement in MEP practices.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Holds relevant certifications such as PMP, LEED AP, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrates 8+ years of progressive experience in MEP construction management.
  • Exhibits a strong understanding of international building codes and MEP standards.
  • Has experience working on large-scale commercial or industrial projects.
  • Proficient in using project management software and relevant technical tools.
  • Exhibits excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with subcontractors and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure effectively.
