Job Description

The MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Supervisor for Power is a crucial role that involves overseeing the construction, installation, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within power plants or related facilities. This position requires strong leadership abilities, technical expertise, and a comprehensive understanding of MEP systems to ensure project goals are met efficiently, safely, and within budget constraints. The MEP Supervisor plays a pivotal role in coordinating with other construction professionals, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure all power-related installations meet the highest standards of quality and performance. This role entails a strong focus on compliance with industry codes, safety standards, and adherence to project timelines.


Responsibilities
  • Supervise the installation and maintenance of mechanical systems to ensure optimal operation.
  • Coordinate with project engineers and architects to align on project specifications and timelines.
  • Monitor electrical system installations and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
  • Manage plumbing installations and ensure they meet safety and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality requirements.
  • Facilitate communication between design teams and field personnel for effective project execution.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure timely completion of power projects.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to on-site teams resolving complex problems swiftly.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all MEP activities for auditing and reference.
  • Review contractor work to ensure compliance with design and safety standards.
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to avoid disruptions.
  • Ensure all team members adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in supervising MEP projects in power-related sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and codes.
  • Proven project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory requirements in the power industry.
