Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Planning and Stock Management:
- Forecast product demand and ensure stock levels meet customer needs.
- Collaborate with suppliers to order new products.
- Maintain an accurate inventory and ensure timely product replenishment.
- Store Layout and Product Display:
- Develop and implement attractive product displays to enhance sales.
- Ensure that products are displayed in a way that maximizes visibility and appeal.
- Adapt displays based on seasons, promotions, or store layouts.
- Sales Data Analysis:
- Analyze sales trends to determine which products are performing well.
- Use data to adjust ordering strategies and product placements.
- Pricing and Promotions:
- Collaborate with the marketing and sales team to set promotional pricing.
- Ensure all promotional materials (price tags, posters) are displayed accurately.
- Supplier and Vendor Relations:
- Negotiate with suppliers on product orders, prices, and delivery times.
- Build strong relationships to ensure timely supply and support for promotional events.
- Market Research:
- Stay informed about market trends, competitors, and customer preferences.
- Identify potential products and trends to introduce into the store.
- Collaboration with Retail and Sales Teams:
- Work closely with store managers and sales teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Train staff on new product lines or promotions.
- Budget Management:
- Monitor merchandising budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness in all displays and promotions.
Desired Candidate Profile
Looking for Driver cum Merchandise who is responsible for ensuring that products appear in the right stores, at the appropriate time, and in the correct quantities. This involves working closely with manufacturers, suppliers, and retail stores to manage product displays and optimize inventory levels. The goal is to drive sales by making products visually appealing and easily accessible to customers, while ensuring that stock levels meet demand.
Qualities of a Successful Merchandiser
- Analytical Thinking:
- Ability to analyze sales data and market trends to make informed decisions about stock levels, displays, and product selections.
- Attention to Detail:
- Meticulous in ensuring that displays are perfectly organized, and products are properly stocked and labeled.
- Creativity:
- Ability to create attractive and eye-catching displays that encourage customers to make purchases.
- Communication Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication for working with suppliers, store managers, and the sales team. Ability to negotiate and manage relationships with vendors is key.

- Well-organized in managing stock levels, planning product placements, and ensuring timely order replenishments.
- Commercial Awareness:
- A strong understanding of the retail landscape, customer behavior, and industry trends to make decisions that will increase sales.
- Negotiation Skills:
- Ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers for the best prices, deals, and delivery times.
- Adaptability:
- Flexibility to adjust product displays and merchandising strategies based on sales performance, customer feedback, or changing trends.

- Collaborative mindset to work effectively with the sales team, marketing team, and external partners.
