Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • This position is responsible for the handling and reporting of data and for conducting analyses (qualitative and quantitative) to identify trends, variations, patterns and insights relating to the performance of Payment Services issuers, acquirers and merchants.

  • Develop KPI frameworks to track team-specific and overall performance, dashboards and communicate effectively to all departments and stakeholders.

  • Develop merchant customer life-cycle management framework for all small merchants with GAV less than 2m AED in order to improve the key KPIs of activation rate, GAV/customer, profit/customer

  • Track inactive and dormant merchants as well as inactive and dormant terminals to come up

with offers, bundles and campaigns to improve the desired KPI’s.

  • Perform merchant portfolio insights and behavioral analysis on both small and mid-large size merchants, share the same with product team and sales teams

  • Deliver quarterly business review reports for key large merchants for the BDM’s for them to deepen and increase the ongoing relationship with these key merchants.

  • Provide key analytics to assist merchants acquiring team in improving decision-making on pricing and optimizing pricing discounting in an effort to increase margin for the Bank. This position holder will influence key business decisions through in-depth analytics on merchant category, channel specific assessments and analysis on promotional effectiveness.

  • Responsible to think critically about Merchant Acquiring product offerings from a business user’s perspective and back up hypotheses through clear presentation of data findings.

  • Develop scenario analyses to support pricing negotiations with large merchants for card acceptance or Co-Brand partnerships.

  • Apply analytical thinking around commercial services, including revenue and cost modelling. Define value propositions and support product team with pitches and deals Support and influence the building of the product roadmap.

  • Translate business needs into data requirements and data structures to support reporting, ad hoc queries, and analytics.

  • Understand business objectives, data questions, and site-tagging problems to ensure accuracy of data.

  • Ensure that all data/MIS that are handled / produced by the unit are managed in a securem manner and as per the agreed service standards in accordance with established controls and procedures

Desired Candidate Profile

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in portfolio management, data analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Strong understanding of merchant acquiring business models, pricing strategies, and risk management principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, and data visualization software.
