Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Architect, deploy, and maintain standardized Unix/Linux server environments (e.g., RHEL, Solaris) across physical, virtual, and cloud platforms.
• Manage and optimize centralized backup solution ensuring 24/7 job success, appropriate data retention, and offsite replication.
• Enforce security baselines (e.g., CIS benchmarks), manage SELinux/AppArmor, and automate patch cycles to remediate vulnerabilities without disrupting critical production workloads.
• Drive the patching lifecycle using automated tools (like Satellite or Ansible Tower), balancing critical security remediation with the need for high system availability.
• Administer complex storage layouts including LVM, multi-pathing, and advanced filesystems (XFS, Ext4, ZFS), while managing quotas and ensuring optimal mount options for performance and reliability.
• Accountable for the stability and performance of the Unix/Linux server estate, adhering to defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for business-critical platforms.
• Partner with Project Managers and Stakeholders to deliver infrastructure components for IT initiatives on time and within scope.
• Manage the lifecycle of hardware and OS versions, overseeing the decommissioning of legacy systems and the rollout of modern upgrades.
• Handle IT infrastructure analysis initiatives to understand the capabilities and limitations of the current supporting IT infrastructure. provide recommendations to build and maintain a scalable and agile IT infrastructure that meets the company operational and capacity requirements.
• Assist in identifying the company s outdated technology assets, ensuring constant system upgrades in accordance with evolving business requirements.
• identify opportunities for continuous improvement of processes and practices by considering best practices, improvement of business processes, cost reduction measures, and productivity improvement.
• Ensure continuous support, availability and performance for critical business workloads.

Key Accountabilities:

• Carry out daily operations assigned for the department to comply with the company s standards.
• Prepare timely and accurate department reports to meet the requirements, objectives, and standards of the company and the department.
• Ensure the satisfaction of internal and external customers to address their needs in a courteous and timely manner.
• Follow all relevant policies, procedures, and processes in order for the work to be carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
• Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of processes and practices, work processes, cost effectiveness, and productivity enhancement.
• Promote to other employees within the organization the implementation and adherence to policies, procedures, processes, and instructions.
• Maintain a good and respectful relationship with other colleagues and represent the company in a good image.

Skills Required:

• Skill to install, setup and maintain servers.
• OS and firmware upgrades and patch management.
• Familiar with Server Management Systems and its administration.
• Knowledge in Redhat Satellite server administration.
• Apply OS updates, patches, and security configurations regularly.
