We're Hiring: Metal Setter Jewellery Workshop

Do you have an expert touch when it comes to precision work with metal and stones? We are looking for a meticulous Metal Setter to join our jewellery Workshop. In this role, you'll play a key part in crafting high-quality jewellery pieces by setting stones into a variety of fine metal settings with accuracy and care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect workpieces for defects and verify dimensions using measuring instruments, templates, and rules.
• Set precious, semi-precious, or ornamental stones into metal jewellery items such as rings, earrings, bracelets, brooches, etc.
• Cut and file settings to fit stones using chisels, drills, and files.
• Secure stones by pressing prongs, raising metal ridges, or hammering edges of settings.
• Smooth settings and finish metal using emery files and precision tools.
• Examine completed settings under magnification to ensure quality and precision.
• Drill holes as needed in metal settings to accommodate stones.
• Reset or replace stones in pre-existing metal settings when required.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Workshop In-Charge or General Manager.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor s Degree.
• Experience: Minimum 2 3 years in a similar metal or stone setting role.
• Languages: Basic English and Arabic communication skills required.

  • Expertise in handling fine metalwork and stone settings
  • Steady hand and keen attention to detail
  • Skilled in using both hand tools and electric tools for precision work
  • Strong teamwork and quality-focused approach
