Metallurgist MB INFORMATICS PRIVATE LIMITED

1. Purpose of Job: Metallurgist is responsible for Plant optimization, trouble shooting and effective Tailings deposition and water reclamation. The role can be for shift metallurgist whenever the business is in need where the candidate is asked for overall in charge of running a shift as related to plant and Tailings disposal.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

1. Ensures the highest level of safety, health and environmental work standards are maintained

2. Adhere to all SOPs pertaining to plant operations

3. Ensure smooth operation of the plant and optimum availability

4. Assist Process or Production Superintendent in production planning

5. Monitor plant performance on daily basis as well as long term

6. Identification and de-bottlenecking of plant problems to assist operations

7. Planning and preparation of shutdown jobs

8. Manages all lab operations including sample prep, testing and data reporting

9. Develops and maintains Plant SOPs

10. Materials planning and monitoring consumables

11. Training of new Engineers

12. Carrying out Laboratory Flotation testwork and support metallurgical reasearch and plant optimization

13. Analyze process data (Cu recovery, concentrate grade, mass pull) and recommend improvements.

14. Collaborates with Shift Metallurgists and operations to resolve plant issues.

Principal Challenges: Ensure that Budget production and Recovery are are achieved

Minimum Academic / Professional Qualification: Diploma/Bachelor of Chemical/Metallurgical Engineering

Minimum Work Experience: 5 years

Skills & Competencies Required:

1. Proficient in Process Plant and Tailings disposal in Concentrator plant.

2. Knowledge of DCS/SCADA system is preferable.

3. Able to carry out Hot Floats, sample preparation and interpret results is a Must.

4. Able to read and follow results from OSA and make corrective measures.

5. A good understanding of Filter press operations.

6. Able to do Metal Accounting.

7. Able to manage people and work with minimum supervision.

8. Experience in Base Metals flotation and mineral processing.

9. Knowledge of ore variability and mineralogy implications on flotation reagents and circuit design.

10. Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented and be able to work with others in a team environment

11. Good communication skills and be able to guide subordinates

12. Proficiency in Microsoft office applications
