Roles & Responsibilities
King s College Riyadh is seeking a passionate and dedicated Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher to join our outstanding Prep School team. The successful candidate will teach French as their main subject.
Initially, the MFL Teacher will teach pupils in Years 5 to 7, expanding to Year 8 and beyond as the school continues to grow. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher with enthusiasm, vision, and a commitment to inspiring pupils in an ambitious and nurturing international school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Promote the school s values and ethos, inspiring pupils through enthusiastic participation in all areas of school life.
Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that foster curiosity, creativity, and academic excellence.
Plan, assess, and adapt teaching to ensure all pupils make excellent progress.
Maintain a positive learning environment with high standards of behaviour and mutual respect.
Provide excellent pastoral care, supporting the physical, emotional, and social wellbeing of pupils.
Collaborate closely with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community.
Participate actively in co-curricular activities and school events.
Respect and support the culture and values of Saudi Arabia, contributing positively to the school s international community.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor s Degree and a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification / Qualified Teacher Status.
Minimum of 2 years relevant teaching experience (Essential).
Experience teaching French as a primary language (Essential).
Experience teaching the UK National Curriculum or EYFS (Essential).
A proven ability to inspire, motivate, and engage pupils of all abilities (Essential).
Strong classroom management and pastoral skills (Essential).
Experience working with EAL learners (Desirable).
An understanding of the expectations of UK independent and international schools (Desirable).
