ABOUT THE ROLE

A unique opportunity to join a leading government advisory consultancy. Consulum is seeking a mid-level candidate with extensive experience in strategic digital communications and digital product marketing to provide support to Consulum s political and governmental clients across the GCC.

LOCATION

Saudi Arabia or Bahrain

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Account manage the digital work streams for allocated clients, with responsibility for the day-to-day management of digital activities, ensuring deadlines are met, assigning further responsibilities where necessary and alerting those responsible for oversight to any issues and seeking sign off, where required.
- Provide analysis of current and emerging regional issues and trends across politics, economics, digital and emerging technologies
- Develop and incorporate analysis into digital communications programmes tailored to client requirements

- Collaborate on content creation and the development of social media copy with clients and members of Consulum s senior team

- Conduct narrative development and produce messaging for use on digital channels

- Contribute to the production, delivery and QA of emails, social media content, and web pages

- Work with the digital team to map out client digital roadmaps

- Plan, schedule and estimate costs managing the day-to-day running of creative and delivery partners

- Deliver digital tasks including writing social media copy, paid-social planning and influencer programmes

- Create client presentations (using tools such as PowerPoint) to a high standard including content and design

- Have a finger on the pulse of developments taking place in tech and digital comms

- Identify key stakeholders and influencers, map a plan for engagement and support in cultivating relationships through digital channels.

- Monitor digital environment to identify threats to and opportunities for your client

- Monitor digital community for latest trends and how they can be incorporated Internally

Business Development:
- Always look for selling opportunities for existing clients and accounts

- Review the market place for new accounts

- Conduct SWOT analysis on clients or business development opportunities
- Create and present pitches to existing and potential clients

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

Essential skills
- Intelligence: structured, logical thinking and presentation: the ability to develop and deliver comprehensive analyses and coherent presentations.

- People: the ability to lead, influence and mentor people.

- English: excellent written and spoken business English.

- Project management: an ability to structure and manage the delivery of projects and programmes.

- Software: an ability to use Powerpoint and Excel (including visualising data).

- At least 5 years experience in digital communications; agency and consulting experience a bonus

- Excellent writing and presentational skills

- Experience participating in the development and implementation of digital Strategies

Desirable skils

- Experience of working in government communications.

- Understanding of verbal or written Arabic.

- Experience participating in the development and implementation of digital communications strategies

- Experience producing communications materials, including social media, content, press releases, talking points, media briefings, etc.

- Experience in developing digital propositions from website development to SEO optimisation

- Excellent organisational skills and flexible approach to work, with the ability to work independently, but also display solid team working skills

- Analytical skills and tactical judgement.
