Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

General Description:

Responsible for reviewing audio and visual footage, organizing clips into a cohesive unit

using editing software, splitting or combining video clips, adding sounds or graphics, and

reviewing for final sign-off for project submissions.

Goals:

Edit a variety of events, scripted productions, and creative video projects

Manage multiple weekly projects and dozens monthly

Assist in on-ground coverage and projects

Possess a strong understanding of post-production

Show strong initiative in identifying problems and solutions

Responsibilities:

Receive briefs, footage outlines, shot lists, scripts, or screenplays

Assemble raw footage, preparing it for computer input,

Create clear proposals for clients

Input uncut rushes and sound, synchronize, and store files digitally

Edit footage into sequences, identifying usable content

Create rough cuts and finalize edits for the next stages

Reorder and fine-tune content for logical flow and smooth transitions

Oversee the quality and progress of audio and video engineering and editing

Experiment with styles, techniques, and graphic elements

Assist in music selection for projects

Qualifications:

2-4 years of professional video editing experience.

Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Media Encoder, Adobe Audition and

Coloring. Adobe After Effects is a plus

Experience producing content for platforms like YouTube, Vimeo, or similar

Ability to take quality notes, document work, and translate client directives into

finalized products

Strong understanding of client revision processes and diligence in handling revisions

Capable of managing multiple, multi-week video editing projects simultaneously
