Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive prenatal care, including risk assessment, health education, and counseling, ensuring a healthy pregnancy journey for expectant mothers.
  • Conduct thorough assessments during labor and delivery, meticulously monitoring fetal well-being and maternal progress to ensure safe outcomes.
  • Expertly manage normal deliveries, providing skilled assistance and support to women throughout the birthing process, fostering a positive experience.
  • Recognize and manage complications during labor and delivery, promptly implementing evidence-based interventions and collaborating with physicians when needed.
  • Provide skilled postnatal care, including breastfeeding support, newborn care education, and postpartum assessment, facilitating a smooth transition for families.
  • Educate and empower women and their families on reproductive health, family planning, and healthy lifestyle choices, promoting informed decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, documenting all aspects of patient care and adhering to ethical and legal standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and other specialists, to provide integrated care.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Midwifery, demonstrating a solid foundation in the field.
  • Holds a valid Midwife license and relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Nurse-Midwife – CNM), showcasing professional qualifications.
  • Experience in a hospital or birthing center environment, displaying familiarity with diverse clinical settings.
