Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Perform MIG welding on structural steel and metal components as per drawings and job requirements.
Read and interpret technical drawings, welding symbols, and specifications accurately.
Prepare materials for welding by cutting, grinding, and cleaning surfaces.
Ensure strong, clean, and defect-free welds in accordance with quality standards.
Inspect completed welds using visual and basic testing methods; rectify defects if any.
Operate welding machines, grinders, and hand tools safely and efficiently.
Follow safety procedures, PPE usage, and company welding standards at all times.
Coordinate with supervisors, fabricators, and fitters to meet production targets.
Maintain welding equipment and keep the work area clean and organized.
Desired Candidate Profile
Experience: 1–3 years of experience as a MIG Welder (structural or industrial projects preferred).
Skills: Strong knowledge of MIG welding techniques, joint types, and welding positions.
Technical Ability: Able to read drawings and understand welding symbols.
Quality Focus: Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
Physical Ability: Fit to work in workshop or site conditions.
Safety Knowledge: Familiar with basic welding safety standards and procedures.
Certification (Preferred): MIG welding certification or trade test certificate is an advantage.
