Roles & Responsibilities

Design and monitor the conduct and execution of mining work.
Carry out studies to develop methods of drivage and mine extraction.
Conduct technical analyses to obtain soil and other information and prepare reports.
Carry out preliminary studies on the ore and the mining depots in order to propose the most appropriate method for the excavation of galleries and tunnels.
To determine the safe and efficient methods of excavation.
To determine and advise on appropriate blasting methods for mining, construction or demolition.
Plan and select mining machinery in collaboration with other mining specialists.
Prepare operational and project estimates, implementation schedules and reports.
Implement and coordinate minimum safety programs.
To ensure quality production in a way that continues over time.
Analyze the discrepancies between the realization and the forecasts, determine the clauses and propose solutions.
To make any corrections to the production process if necessary.
Liaise and flow information between the company and external administrative bodies.
Have the information necessary to maintain working relations with the client, the client, external bodies and the various trades of the company.
To inform itself of new technologies and techniques specific to its activity.
Ensure the visibility of its stakeholders (transparency).
Communicate relevant information to the right people at the right time.
Inform, communicate and explain new technologies and techniques to teams.
Manage all information and communication with the environment.
To report on its activities in the hierarchy.
Manage people and equipment in an appropriate manner to ensure that production targets are met in accordance with technical specifications.
Intervene on non-conformities, propose solutions and give orders for the execution of excavation work.
Interview with members of the engineering team and conduct research to determine the requirements for the completion of the work.
Perform feasibility studies, economic analyses and other studies.

Use high-performance organizations and new technologies and techniques on the construction site.
Guarantee the technical quality and profitability of the work carried out according to the specifications.
Optimize security and resource requirements.

Master the techniques and standards of digging galleries and tunnels.
Master structural and mini geology.
Possess general knowledge of mechanics, electricity and soil mechanics.
