Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly mine plans based on the overall production schedule.
- Supervise drilling, blasting, excavation, hauling, and ore stockpiling activities.
- Ensure proper implementation of grade control and coordinate with geologists and survey teams.
- Enforce strict adherence to HSE regulations and ensure best practices are followed.
- Monitor equipment performance and optimize usage to improve efficiency.
- Maintain detailed records of production, delays, and operational data.
- Support QA/QC processes and manage ore sampling and stockpile reconciliation.
- Assist in obtaining necessary mining permits and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.
- Contribute to weekly planning meetings and prepare technical reports on project performance.
- Coordinate closely with the planning and HSE teams to align mining activities with overall project goals.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in open-pit mining operations.
- Proficiency in Surpac and MineSched software is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of drilling and blasting practices, grade control, and mining regulations.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Capable of working in remote project locations and managing field operations under pressure.
