Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
ROLE OBJECTIVE
Specialist MIS is responsible for leading the preparation, automation, and presentation of financial and management reports that provide actionable insights for leadership decision-making. The role consolidates data from multiple systems and entities to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of management information across Otech s operations.
The position also plays a pivotal role in improving Otech s data analytics capabilities, supporting strategic planning, performance monitoring, and compliance reporting.
RESPONSIBILITIES
MIS Reporting & Consolidation
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual MIS packs including revenue, cost, and profitability analysis.
Consolidate performance data from all Otech subsidiaries and business units.
Ensure consistency of data definitions, reporting templates, and submission timelines.
Create executive dashboards summarizing key metrics for the leadership team.
Data Analytics & Insights
Conduct variance analysis on actual vs. budgeted performance.
Identify operational and financial trends and provide actionable recommendations.
Support strategic planning and budgeting through data-driven analytics.
Collaborate with Finance Strategy to integrate forecast models into MIS.
System & Process Enhancement
Support automation of reporting through Power BI, ERP dashboards, or visualization tools.
Validate and test MIS modules during system upgrades or data migrations.
Establish data validation checkpoints to ensure reporting accuracy.
Collaboration & Governance
Work with cross-functional teams (Finance, Delivery, Strategy) to ensure unified reporting.
Ensure compliance with reporting deadlines and governance requirements.
Mentor junior MIS staff on data extraction and reporting processes.
Audit & Documentation
Maintain documentation for MIS methodologies and templates.
Support audit and compliance reviews requiring management data or evidence.
Ensure version control and secure storage of all reports and datasets.
ROLE SPECIFICATIONS
Qualification
Bachelor s degree in finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
Certification
Certification in BI tools preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in MIS, analytics, or management reporting within ICT or large corporate environments.
Skills
Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
ERP integration and data modelling skills.
Strong financial and analytical acumen.
Excellent data accuracy and presentation capability.
Experience consolidating multi-entity data.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor s degree in finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
Certification in BI tools preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in MIS, analytics, or management reporting within ICT or large corporate environments.
