Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
QA Lead will lead and manage quality of the software output through manual/automated test scripts, and develop, coordinate, communicate and enforce testing schedules and critical deliverables. QA Engineer will own the test and quality assurance processes for Mobile Banking Project
Key Result Area
Drive the project test strategy, test planning and efforts.
Perform end-to-end Functional testing for SIT phase of Mobile banking application.
Own the process during test periods where functionality is tested across several surrounding application and devices
Be an active participant in requirement analysis/gathering and planning to ensure that acceptance criteria are testable.
Collaborate with Developers, SMEs and Product Owner while requirements gathering/discussion, bringing input from testing perspective.
Work in a fast paced environment, meeting timelines while adhering to process and contributing to the process improvements.
Maintain traceability of testing activities.
Estimating effort for testing tasks.
Defining the test approach for each release.
Designing and creating test cases and test data.
Write and Executing test cases manually / automated.
Collaborate with Automation and Performance test team to build/execute regression test packs.
Collaborate closely with developers, identifying, logging, prioritizing and verifying defects in a defect tracking system.
Run defect triage calls
Laise with different vendor partners to ensure testing schedule/timelines are met
Managing and maintaining the test environments.
Playing a key role in defining best practices for testing.
Continuous improvement initiatives specifically with regard to quality
Managing and maintaining the regression test suites (manual / automated)
Own Sign-off (SIT) process for each releases
Operating Env
Works within a multidisciplinary team or in an environment in which multidisciplinary teamwork is carried out.
Is mainly responsible for testing and validating the quality of the software output through manual/functional testing, coordinate, communicate and enforce testing schedules and critical deliverables.
The range of tasks includes the following:
o Own the test and quality assurance processes.
o Write and maintain test cases and test data.
o Drive the project test strategy and test planning and efforts.
o Perform integration testing for each releases.
o Own the process during test periods where functionality is tested across several applications.
o Be an active participant in requirement analysis/gathering and planning, to ensure that acceptance criteria are testable.
o Collaborate with developers, SMEs and Product Owner while requirement gathering/discussion, bringing input from testing perspective.
o Laise with different vendor partners to ensure testing schedule/timelines are met.
o Maintain traceability of testing activities.
o Run defect triage calls
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- Holds relevant certifications such as ISTQB or similar, demonstrating proficiency in software testing methodologies.
- Demonstrates a deep understanding of mobile banking functionalities, including payment gateways, security protocols, and regulatory compliance.
- Exhibits strong technical skills, including proficiency in test automation tools (e.g., Appium, Selenium, XCUITest) and mobile testing frameworks.
- Displays excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
