Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Design and implement the company s Model Risk Management Framework in line with CBUAE regulatory requirements and Islamic finance principles.
- Develop and maintain model inventory, risk rating, and lifecycle documentation for all AI, analytics, and risk models.
- Lead model validation, performance monitoring, and periodic reviews to ensure accuracy, reliability, and fairness.
- Collaborate with data science, engineering, compliance, and product teams to embed model governance best practices.
- Prepare and present model risk reports to senior leadership, audit, and regulatory stakeholders.
- Define model risk policies, procedures, and escalation protocols.
- Champion responsible and ethical AI practices across the organization.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor s degree in a quantitative, business, or risk-related field from a reputable university.
- Demonstrated experience in model risk management, model governance, or risk analytics within regulated financial institutions.
- Strong knowledge of CBUAE or similar regulatory frameworks related to model risk.
- Familiarity with AI/ML model lifecycle, validation, and monitoring processes.
- Ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical frameworks and controls.
- Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Strong communication skills, able to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
