Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Area of responsibility

  • Perform maintenance on injection molds and hot runner manifolds, including disassembly, cleaning, inspection for damage or wear, repair, and reassembly.
  • Manufacturing mold inserts, components, fixtures and tooling with or without engineering prints and 3D CAD molds using milling, turning, grinding and EDM machines
  • Adjust and assemble the parts and test the finished molds for proper operation
  • Verify the conformity of the molds or related tooling to the specifications by checking dimensions, clearances, and alignments using various testing equipment to ensure consistent operation within tight tolerances.
  • Modify existing molds according to production requirements
  • establish a preventative maintenance program
  • To manufacture jigs and fixtures for production and assembly
  • Check for mold and hidden defects
  • communication problems with the tool room manager
  • Maintain a clean work environment at the end of each shift.
  • Perform general maintenance and cleaning of all equipment in the tool room
  • Observe and practice safe work at all times
  • Other tasks assigned by management.

Desired Candidate Profile

Your profile

  • Mold manufacturer's certificate for agricultural or tool and die production
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mold making
  • Great attention to detail
  • Use of CAD/CAM systems and computer systems
  • Ability to solve problems both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to prioritize work and good organizational skills
  • Proven communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Team spirit
