Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Pilot oil tankers safely in and out of Multiple Buoy Mooring (MBM) berths and Single Point Mooring (SPM) buoy terminals, ensuring full compliance with terminal and international maritime safety standards.

  • Supervise the lifting, handling, and connection of submarine and floating cargo hoses to tanker manifolds, ensuring safe and efficient mooring and cargo transfer operations.

  • Coordinate and oversee crude oil transfer operations from terminal to vessel, including cargo monitoring, documentation, and accurate calculation of loaded quantities in accordance with industry standards.

  • Support and supervise maintenance activities on marine terminal facilities, ensuring operational reliability and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

  • Develop, review, and implement operational safety documentation including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), Onsite Job Safety Analysis (JSA)/Toolbox Talks, Permits to Work (PTW), certificates, and operational checklists to proactively identify and mitigate hazards.

  • Assist the Marine Team Leader with daily departmental activities, operational planning, safety oversight, and other assigned marine and terminal responsibilities.


Desired Candidate Profile

  • Master Unlimited Tonnage Certificate in compliance with STCW Regulation A-II/2.

  • Certificate of Proficiency (or equivalent endorsement) for oil and/or liquid gas tanker operations.

  • Proven ship-handling skills, including successful completion of a manned model course and simulator assessment.

  • Leadership and managerial training in accordance with STCW 2010 Manila Amendments.

  • Fluency in written and spoken English

    Experience

  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience as a ship’s officer, including:

  • At least two (2) years of service on tankers

  • At least two (2) years of experience as a Mooring Master/Pilot.
