Performance Energy is supporting a major Middle East drilling campaign delivering Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) operations in technically complex loss environments.

We are seeking experienced MPD Wellsite Supervisors to lead on-site operations, ensuring safe and efficient execution of drilling activities in total loss and PMCD scenarios.

Role Purpose

The MPD Wellsite Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing MPD operations at the wellsite, managing crews, and maintaining precise control of wellbore pressure in real-time drilling environments.

This role acts as the key operational leader on location, ensuring alignment between drilling teams, service crews, and client representatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise MPD operations at the wellsite across drilling activities

• Lead and coordinate field teams and service personnel

• Maintain real-time control of wellbore pressure and drilling parameters

• Ensure safe execution of operations in total loss and PMCD environments

• Interface with drilling teams and client representatives on location

• Ensure full compliance with HSE, well control, and operational procedures

Technical Project Context

• Operation Type: Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD)

• Environment: Onshore Middle East (high temperature)

• Focus: Total loss zones and PMCD drilling techniques

• Objective: Maintain well control and enable continuous drilling in loss-prone formations

Essential Experience

• Minimum 5+ years experience in MPD or drilling operations

• Proven experience operating in total loss environments (PMCD)

• Strong understanding of MPD systems and pressure control

• Previous wellsite supervisory experience

• Ability to operate effectively in high-temperature, high-pressure environments

Preferred / Advantageous Background

• Experience as an MPD Supervisor or senior field engineer

• Previous Middle East drilling experience

• Strong leadership capability in wellsite environments

• Experience working in technically challenging formations

Certifications (Mandatory)

• Well Control Certification (IADC or IWCF)

• Relevant medical certification (OGUK or equivalent preferred)
