Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

This role is responsible for the coordination, management and execution of proactive and reactive maintenance activities that require a higher level of support that the one offered by the 1st Level Operations. This shall ensure that the services provided to customers are continuously available and performing to Service Level Agreement (SLA) performance levels.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • 2nd Level Assurance Support Activities
  • 2nd Level Incident Management
  • 2nd Level preventive maintenance
  • Software update/upgrade
  • Configuration Management; Service creation, provisioning & testing
  • Nodes introduction, expansion, acceptance and commissioning.
  • Customer support handling

Key Competence Elements:

Deep knowledge in:

  • CS & VoLTE core network architecture and interfaces
  • CS & VoLTE core network functions CS and UDM (MSC, MGW,IP-STP, SBC, DSC, CUDB, HLR-FE, HSS-FE, EIR-FE) and IMS nodes (SBG, CSCF, MTAS, IBCF, UPG, AFG, NeLS, BGF, TRGW, IPWORKS)
  • CS/VoLTE E2E signaling and call flows

Hands-on Experience on:

  • AXE 810, APZ 212 60, APG43L & CPP nodes Commissioning, configuration, operations & maintenance.
  • UDC, IP-STP, MSC/GMSC, IMS nodes data configuration, SW upgrade operations & Maintenance
  • Ericsson IMS nodes (SBG, CSCF, MTAS, IBCF, UPG, AFG, NeLS, BGF, TRGW, IPWORKS)
  • SS7 protocol stack and troubleshooting
  • SIP / Diameter protocol stack and troubleshooting
  • Call tracing
  • Linux/Unix
  • ENM Tools Hands-on experience

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree within Electrical Engineering / Telecommunication Engineering / Computer Science / Computer Engineering.
  • 5-7 years experience on relevant domain
  • Knowledge of Managed Service telecom operations practice
