Multi-skilled Machine Operator

Main missions: 

• Drives and operates various types of heavy project machinery for digging, earthmoving, leveling or extraction in accordance with safety regulations.
  
• Can transport materials, ores or excavated material to specific project locations. Can handle the transport of the machine to the project using a carrier vehicle.

Duties (tasks and responsibilities):

• Communicate to your hierarchy any risk that could compromise the exercise of your activity, and implement appropriate actions in accordance with the guidelines.
• Perform maintenance on the machine and check its operation.
• Performs the usual technical checks every morning.
• Ensures possession of traffic documents, On the instructions of its Manager, takes note of the work carried out.

• Maneuver the machine according to the terrain and the work to be carried out.
• Grading soils or stripping embankments and shoulders, digging tunnels.
• Dig the support (trench level, flat base, dome, excavation base, etc.) in the area.
• Level the ground (shoulder, ditch, road, etc.) according to the marking points.
• Collect, load and transport extraction materials and spoil.
• Restore a natural appearance to the completed project (embankments, surface, etc.).
• Ensures the movement and transport of products to the planned locations.
• Provides interior and exterior washing and regular maintenance of the machine and may be required to carry out simple repairs.

In terms of QHSE:

• Respect the general safety instructions and rules in force within the Company and on the Project site.
• Apply the procedures and rules dictated within the framework of the Integrated Management System.
• Wear appropriate collective and individual protective equipment (CPE and PPE) at the project level.
• Follow the safety instructions provided by the manufacturer, contained in the equipment or machine user manual.
• Checks the condition of the equipment to ensure there are no faults that could harm safety and/or the environment and reports any anomalies noted.
• Maintain your equipment after each use, check and report any leaks (water, fuel, oils, etc.) to avoid waste and environmental pollution.
• Drive, handle and use your equipment with professionalism, caution... and in strict compliance with safety rules.
• Communicate to your hierarchy any malfunction or relevant information related to the activity.
