Main tasks:

• Operates and handles different types of heavy project machinery intended for digging, earthmoving, leveling or extraction according to safety rules.
• Can transport materials, ores or spoil to designated project locations. Can handle the transport of the machine to the project using a carrier vehicle.

Duties (tasks and responsibilities):

• Communicate to one's hierarchy any risk that could compromise the exercise of one's activity, and implement the appropriate actions in accordance with the guidelines.
• Perform maintenance on the machine and check its operation.
• Performs the usual technical checks every morning.
• Ensures possession of traffic documents, and, upon instruction from his supervisor, reviews the work carried out.

• Maneuver the machine according to the terrain and the work to be carried out.
• To slope the soil or to remove the topsoil from embankments and verges, to dig tunnels.
• Excavate the support (trench level, flat bottom, bulge, excavation bottom...) in the area.
• Level the ground (shoulder, ditch, road...) according to the staking points.
• Collect, load and transport extraction materials and spoil.
• To restore a natural appearance to the completed project (backfill, surface...).
• Ensures the relocation and transport of products to the designated locations.
• Ensures the interior and exterior washing and regular maintenance of the machine and may be required to carry out simple repairs.

In terms of QHSE:

• Respect the general safety instructions and rules in force within the Company and on the Project site.
• Apply the procedures and rules dictated within the framework of the Integrated Management System.
• Bring appropriate collective and individual protective equipment (CPE and PPE) to the project level.
• Follow the safety instructions provided by the manufacturer, contained in the equipment or machine's user manual.
• Checks the condition of the equipment to ensure there are no defects that could harm safety and/or the environment and reports any anomalies found.
• Maintain your equipment after each use, check and report any leaks (water, fuel, oils...) to avoid waste and environmental pollution.
• To operate, handle and use one's equipment with professionalism, caution... and in strict compliance with safety rules.
• Communicate any malfunction or relevant information related to the activity to your superiors.

• General training: CPL licence, SR, good physical condition.
• Professional training: Certificate of Aptitude for Safe Driving, certificate of aptitude to drive a machine.
• Professional experience: 05 years.
